Friday started off just like any other day. Breakfast, walking the pups, and getting ready for my work day. I realized we had another team meeting and I just couldn't quiet understand why we had 2 meetings in one week?! Luckily, a few people were quick to respond about the importance of this meeting, and to call in asap, regardless of my doctors appointment. Must be important!! Good cover-up, guys!
As I logged on for this ever-so-important meeting, I quickly realized this wasn't a typical meeting, but a surprise "virtual" Baby Shower!! Cue the balloons coming out of the storage room outside Kyle's office, with boxes and all of the amazing Starfish team grinning from ear to ear! They 110% pulled off an amazing surprise and I was truly shocked and amazed all at the same time.
The team had created a few hilarious mad libs, a "readiness" assessment, (which I hope we passed) and ended with a message board full of congratulations and messages that I can't wait to print off and keep as a reminder of this special time. Don't tell anyone, but I am human and definitely cried as I read through all of the posts. I have to share, because well... the messages are just perfect! https://padlet.com/megangoerz/babybruse
The team also pulled together and showered Baby B, with all amazing gifts. His swing is perfect, and so is his little baby bath. I will send lots of pictures, once he is here. They also made sure we were prepared with mattress covers, and the famous "booger" tool. Ill spare the pics of these... I guess sometimes TMI is really a thing!! :)
This team is amazing and I cannot not express how lucky I am to work at a
fabulous company with a super talented and loving community. When people say Starfish is special because of the people, they are not lying. We are a family and I really couldn't imagine a better extended family to be a part of.
